Emergency Service
24/7 Contact

Storms, floods, and natural disasters are never convenient, and certainly don’t wait for you to be prepared. That’s why, at Pro Building, we are always available to take your call. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - rest assured that we can help you right when you need it most.

In many emergency situations response time is absolutely vital to minimize damage to your home and repair costs. Whether it’s flooding, roof damage, or something else we can start mitigation immediately to prevent permanent and costly damage to your home.

While You Wait

We will always make our best effort to keep the conditions in your home safe and livable. Sometimes, however, you may need to take immediate steps yourself to protect your family. Any expenses incurred in taking reasonable measures to prevent further damage to your property or harm to your family may be covered under your claim. Make sure you save all receipts related to temporary repairs or temporary living arrangements.

Some policies will cover “necessary expenses” or “additional living expenses” related to a covered loss. For example, if you typically spend $100 each week on groceries for your home, but now you have to spend $250 on groceries and take out during your stay at a hotel with no kitchen, then your policy may cover the $150 difference.

Claims Process

Insurance claims can be a difficult process for any homeowner. With over 20 years of insurance claims experience, Pro Building can help facilitate this process for you. We can educate you about what to expect and your options as the homeowner so that you have smoothest, easiest experience possible.

Think your home may have damage that could be covered under an insurance claim? Here are a few things to expect throughout the process:

  1. Have a trusted, local contractor come inspect your home. Pro Building offers free, no-obligation roof inspections. We’ll provide you with photos of the damage as well as a detailed inspection report.
  2. Now that you have your inspection report you can decide whether or not an insurance claim is right for you. Once you file your claim, your insurance company will likely ask if you’ve had an inspection already and if you’ve selected a contractor. Keep in mind, the choice of contractor is completely up to you!
  3. Your insurance company will send their own adjuster to inspect the damage. It’s a great idea to have your selected contractor accompany the insurance adjuster. This allows everyone to get on the same page about the work that will be covered under the claim and save you a lot of potential headaches.
  4. Once everyone has agreed on the work to be done, schedule time for your contractor to come do the work. Depending on the nature of the work, you may not even need to be home. Talk with your contractor to find the best option for you.
  5. Lastly, your insurance company will cut you a check which you will pay to your contractor. Note that you will have to pay your insurance deductible, but this should be your only out of pocket expense.
